We have a very active Fundraising Committee responsible for raising money for the Pre-School through staging regular local family events and functions. Without fundraising it would be impossible to exist.
The fees that we receive from both the Government and from parents cover only the hire of the Memorial Hall and the salaries of the staff.
This means the cost of books, games, paper, paint, glue, materials for themed activities – all the things your child loves to use at Pre-School – have to be covered by fundraising.
The Management Committee set a target to be achieved by the end of the year so thank you in anticipation of your support.
Parents are encouraged to join our fundraising team and we welcome any help/support you are able to give to our fundraising activities.

Regular Fundraising Events
This is always one of the highlights of our year. The Pre-School always enters a float in the procession and the children love to dress up and ride around the village. We also have a pitch on the showground where we run a fundraising stall.
The children are sponsored for either pushing a pram or pedalling a bike/scooter up and down our hall – 10 laps maximum! All the children receive a medal and certificate for taking part.
Dress up days happen every term, where the children can dress up in fancy dress (either based on a theme or just their favourite!) and donate £1.
This is always our biggest fundraiser of the year. Children have a chance to visit Santa in his Grotto and there are also Christmas stalls, Homemade Cakes, Lucky Dip, Grand Draw, Bidding Table, Nearly new toys, Tombolas and Games.
On the last day of the Christmas term the children perform in a nativity play, followed by a chance to let off steam with an entertainer and then a visit from Santa with his sack of presents before enjoying some party food. There is a raffle & refreshments for the adults.
